The airfield in Pasni Balochistan was renovated after PAF’s overtaking with an up-to-date Airfield Lightning System Installation and Integration project, intending to enhance operational effectiveness and safety. The year 2016 was marked for the implementation of this rebuild project by RMB Enterprises.
This arrangement was established in order to purchase an imported Airfield Lighting System from ADB Safegate, together with the local equipment needed for the substation’s power source and backup. This project was successfully completed in 2018.
The project included the delivery of the Airfield lighting system CAT 1, based upon a topographical survey and comprehensive layout drawings for the site, and the installation and commissioning of the equipment in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. The installation was backed up with continuous technical support.
Furthermore, the Air Field Light Controls and Monitoring Systems (ALCMs) were integrated to connect the substation and Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower in order to guarantee remote control of the airfield lighting systems. The civil works of the project were overseen by the technical team. For one full week, functional checks, test runs, and night operation monitoring were conducted. Finally, the fully functional system was handed over to the ATC.
Conclusively, this revolutionized Airfield Lightning System Installation and Integration project was a major contribution to this transformative project of PAF Pasni. Additionally, this modern initiative is a significant contribution to the security of the country.
